This time around Shane has released a new video of a cover song called Long long way , again this was filmed by BlueShed Productions during a trip in the car over an afternoon. The song which is on Shane’s new album Blue Skies Ahead was recorded in the fantastic Claycastle Studios in Youghal with Warren Tivey & John Burke at the controls.
So far the song has received a great response as do all Shane’s videos and has also featured on SKY TV on several occasions being one of the most watched videos at that time. This video has also sparked a huge amount of interest from other countries where Shane has recently picked up a few awards for his songwriting. Shane who plays it down and remains firmly with both feet on the ground has very little to say only that he is humbled by the reaction to his videos and music, winning awards is secondary while its great to win and a fantastic honor to receive an award for his songwriting he always feels that there are better songwriters out there who deserve the awards more.
Winning a best newcomer /songwriter country music award in Germany is great I am happy that my music is reaching other countries, winning an Italian country songwriter award has also been a huge honor. Winning the best video award for I want you to Want me is fantastic and being in the last 5 for Lifetime Guarantee video was also a great achievement which I never thought possible. But the guys I do my videos with are amazing Kieran McCarthy and my brother Maurice Supple are both very very talented and Maurice has become the go to guy in Ireland for Country Music videos.
Awards are great but I love the recording, the writing, the creative process says Shane when we spoke to him this week.
